Retirement in the Public Interest

Where retirement is considered desirable in the public interest on grounds unsuitable for Rule 040406, the Commission must obtain a full report and give the officer an opportunity to reply before deciding. It considers the officer's usefulness, conditions of service and other circumstances and specifies the termination date.
