Eligibility for Appointment
Appointment eligibility includes being at least 18 and not over 55, except contract/part-time appointments; possessing the required qualifications; medical certification by a State Government Medical Officer; testimonial of good conduct; qualifications prescribed in the Schemes of Service; and the required appointment authorisation/approved dispensation stated by the Rule.

Every person appointed must present himself for examination by a Government Medical Practitioner to ascertain that he is sound in health and fit to perform his duties, subject to the stated policy qualification. Unless otherwise provided in the offer of appointment, the State Government pays the examination fee. If the candidate is not finally passed as medically fit for service, the appointment is terminated.
