Leave to Consult a Medical Specialist or Dentist

An officer may be granted leave by the Permanent Secretary/Head to visit a Medical Specialist/Dentist only where a Government Medical Officer certifies that he cannot deal with the case and that postponing the consultation will definitely affect the officer's health. If no Medical Certificate is given, the officer may apply for casual leave under Rule 130231.
